Printing New Parts for Extruder (C3 to R6 questions)
So, my printer had a melt down and I need to print new parts.
I printed the two parts that were damaged, the extruder-body and the extruder-motor-plate. However, they seem not to be compatible with the rest of my original parts. When looking, my original parts are a rev C3 and the new parts are R6. Does this mean I have to print all R6 files in the E-axis section of printable? Also, are there any hardware parts and pieces that I now need in order to get my extruder back on line or will the original parts I have fit in the new printed R6 pieces.
Is it possible to just find the C3 versions and print those?

Update for anyone else encountering this issue.
I ended up printing just about everything for the extruder (fs-cover, extruder-cover, fs-lever, adapter-printer, extruder-motorplate, extruder-body, extruder-motor-plate) With these items, I was able to repair my extruder, however the only items damaged were the extruder-motorplate and extruder body, but because the ones availble to download are the latest revision and not backwards compatible with the other printer parts I ended up printing out the list above.
The good news is that all the magnets, screws, and nuts are the same. The extruder only required me to trim the nylon part that the filament goes through, as my original was slightly longer than the new parts would allow for.
Glad this is over as my prusa was down hard! I ended up purchasing a Bambu X1 Carbon with an AMS to print the replacement parts for this prusa. Now I have two 3D printers! Guess I'll be selling one of them.
RE: Printing New Parts for Extruder (C3 to R6 questions)
there are different designations for parts printed by prusa and parts printed at home. usually the parts available for printing at home are the latest version. prusa helpdesk chat should be able to confirm whether these parts are interchangeable

RE: Printing New Parts for Extruder (C3 to R6 questions)
Thank you for the response. I am aware of the designation between Prusa printed and User printed. This is more of a revision control question, backwards compatibility concern, and how to find previous revisions of parts if I don't want to be forced into printing every single part when I only need two.
Unfortunately, I cannot seem to get an online chat function to work. I click the button and nothing happens.
