Printer reset every 2 minutes
Hello,
today I encountered a very strange problem.
I turned on the printer this evening and it keeps resetting every two minutes, no matter what its current action is.
It is resetting reliably every 120 seconds.
With reset I mean the behaviour, as if I was pressing the reset button on the control panel.
I have octoprint installed on a RaspiZero (prusaprint) as described in the prusa docs but have not changed it recently nor installed plugins.
Also octoprint recongnises that there was a printer reset (Alert Pop-up Message) but does not seem to cause it.
I tried all kind of obvious things already. Resetting (the button is not stuck or anything), Power off (incl. Power cable unplug), leave it a while and power on then ...)
The printer has now been working flawlessly since months. Scratching my head ....
Any ideas appreciated.
Thanks
Michael
Problem SOLVED
Short update.
I ended up disconnecting it again from power. This time I left it the power unpluged for longer - a minute or so.
After plugging it in again everything was back to normal.
Phew 😉
Sorry, problem REMAINS
Hello,
I intermediately had the same problem reoccuring every time I did not use the printer for a week or so and then turn it on.
Sometimes it was reliably 2 mins restart time. But sometimes not.
I had twice the case where I left the printer to print something overnight and it was obviously reset shortly after I left. So maybe after 15 or 20 mins.
Since no one responded so far I am getting a little desparate that I am left with an exotic problem that definetely chokes fun with the device.
All hints appreciated.
Thanks
Michael
