Printer ignores gcode temperatures

Hi good people,

I've had the pre-assembled MK3S+ for many years now.  It's excellent in all ways for PLA and TPU and even PET(G).

Please can someone tell me how to get the printer to obey the temperatures described in the gcode?

Recently I acquired some foaming PLA for light-weight building.  It needs diffrerent temperatures for finding the right one for maximum expansion.

I've sliced with temps from 230, 240 - 280 degrees C, but when I install the card and print from these files, the printer refuses to use the temperatures and stays at the stock PLA pre-heat of 230 degrees.

Thanks in advance, Rob

You have to zip up any files to add them. Best files to do is to slice a file from Prusa slicer , get the issue then use file>save as to save a Prusa slicer project file (3mf)   The 3mf will contain the settings from the profiles you are using as well as other settings. It’s the best way to debug issues. Just don’t forget to zip the file up.

Here are the 230 and 280 gcode files in case they are at fault.

Hi,

Thanks Neophyl.  In trying to post what you suggest, I saw again I had only altered the 2nd+ layer temp not the first layer temp.  This was deliberate when I did it to stabilise the print.  However, the first layer temp was used for the entire print, not the pre-heat temp as I stated earlier.  On this hunch, I altered both the first layer and 2nd+ layer temp to the same value and now it is used from the gcode.  I'll experiment later to see if the 2nd layer+ temp is ever used, but that's not important now.  I have what I need.

Regards, Rob
