print fan malfunctions in an odd way
I have been printing for a few weeks now, but today for some reason the print fan has been malfunctioning. It will not run while a print is happening (and is not detected as not running). It ONLY works during the selftest (which it passes...).
I have the latest firmware (3.5.0), and have tested several gcode files (including the ones shipped with the printer), so I don't think this has anything to do with Slic3r.
What in the hell could cause the fan to only work during selftest, but not during a print? I talked to Prusa support, and they said they would send me a new fan; but I wanted to ask around to see if there is anything else I can check because it DOES run during the selftest...
Re: print fan malfunctions in an odd way
I too have the same issue. I actually never seen my fan run other than the during the self test, which it also passes everytime. That rules out a 'bad' fan. It doesn't seem to be an issue while printing as I rarely have a print failure.
What is the purpose of the fan?
