Print Fan Error
Hello Prusa3D forum. I am having a problem that I've never seen before and can't seem to figure out the source. I am unable to print due to a "Print Fan Error" on every print attempt. I have checked the Noctua fan for blockage and can see that it was spinning when the error occurs, which has become more frequent since it started a few days ago. It first happened 15hrs into a 30hr print, but it now happens within the first few minutes of the print. There is no apparent extruder temperature fluctuations. Everything else seems to be functioning properly.
It's worth noting that I just setup a new printer from a different manufacturer and am using Simplify3D to slide for both printers, but this problem occurs whether I slice with SlicerPE or Simplify3D.
Thank you to anyone who takes the time to respond to this. I really appreciate your help!
Re: Print Fan Error
I realized my error; the print fan is the blower fan. D'OH! Now, to figure out why it isn't working...
Re: Print Fan Error
So it looks like the print fan is dead. It is very intermittent at the beginning of the print, but dies soon after. I have ~130 days of use from the stats menu.
Shipping from Prusa3D to US is 3X the cost of the replacement. Shouldn't this be covered by warranty?
Re: Print Fan Error
Yes it is if you contact support.
Re: Print Fan Error
Thank you for your reply. I will look into that. That makes a lot of sense. I pulled the zip ties with a tool when assembling.
