PINDA triggered too high
I started a print today only to have it fail on the final point of the mesh bed leveling. Something about the PINDA firing too high and I had to reset. So I reset, raised Z, started inspecting the PINDA wiring.
Then I noticed the flex plate was sitting ON the heatbed’s right-side screw/post.
So yea, the printer is pretty damn smart. Gotta love it.

had the same error lifted the plate and underneath there was black plastic that drooled out while i had the plate off for a couple of minutes to remove a print. it is pretty clear on what the correct trigger height is.
