Persistent leak

I keep getting blobs of melted filament leaking and ruining my prints.  I replaced the nozzle but I still have the leak.  I screwed the nozzle in tighter than I think I should have to fix this - no luck.  I'm afraid to tighten it more and risk damaging the threads - but that might have already happened and caused my problem.  Any ideas?

RE:

Your nozzle is likely not sealing against the heat break, which is letting filament leak past the threads. The tightness of the nozzle on the block is not what matters, but its tightness against the heat break.

This link is a good write up on proper assembly (likely yours got loose over time and requires re assembly). You may be able to just get away with removing the nozzle and turning the block onto the heat break another turn or less, then install the nozzle and observe for the proper clearance: https://www.matterhackers.com/articles/how-to-assemble-an-e3d-v6-all-metal-hotend

RE: Persistent leak

Did you use an e3d V6 Nozzle?

Mk8 extruder  nozzles for example have too short a thread.
