Not see any change in preview of Slic3R after changing nozzle size setting
Hi I am just starting to familiarize myself with slic3r. I loaded in a model that were just some flat lines lying flat directly on the print bed, measuring 1.75 mm wide(x,y) and 3mm tall (z), and I wanted to see how a change in nozzle size would affect the path of the extruder. When changing the nozzle setting to 1mm from the standard settings of the .4mm , I did not see a change in the extruder path. With the 4mm nozzle I saw two perimeter walls (so that would equal 1.6mm total line with). I thought with the 1mm nozzle I would see less paths in the preview that the extruder would have to make. For example, I thought there would only be just two passes of the 1mm line to create the 1.75 mm line, but nothing seemed to change from the .4 mm nozzle preview. Can you please point me in a dirrection to understand this? Thanks, Bruce.
Re: Not see any change in preview of Slic3R after changing nozzle size setting
I'll try, but defer to those more knowledgeable. AFAIK, the perimeters are defined by number of layers--not thickness. IOW, whether extruding a bead .4mm wide or 1mm wide, it's still going to extrude 2 layers.
Hope this helps.

Re: Not see any change in preview of Slic3R after changing nozzle size setting
Hi Bruce,
here are two pictures
the first shows the first layer of a model that I am printing at the moment... this copy is sliced with 0.25mm nozzle parameters
the second shows the first layer of the same model, sliced with 0.60mm nozzle parameters
I think you can see a difference
I suspect that when you were experimenting, you didn't change the extrusion width settings when you adjusted the nozzle size

Thank you Joan, and Rufus.
Yes it was the extrusion width settings.
