Not homing, Crashing into Bed on Calibration

MK3. Running Newest Firmware as of Feb 19th. Problems started before I upgraded the firmware, but I updated, hoping for a miracle.

My printer has worked flawlessly for months, all of a sudden, 50% of the time it now crashes on the 3/9 calibration point when getting ready to print. If it doesn't crash then on the third layer, it says a crash was detected and it shifts 5 cm to the right and start crashing in the right hand support.

It is like every home switch is isn't working.

It fails the XYZ Calibration saying bed calibration point not found (but it is looking about 2 cm to the right of where the point is).

I have no idea what is going on, but any help would be great.

Is your X axis binding and making it think it has homed on the left side before it actually has? Also check your zip ties and cable aren't interfering with it moving all the way left.

Sticking X axis is what happens to one of mine. I always move the carrage to the zero home side now before printing, untill i strip and realign the x axis when i have time.

I think the x axis probably is binding somehow, as it seems to home itself about 5 cm from the right hand side. I will try taking apart the x axis... The z axis does home, just jitters a bit once it hits the top. Is there something I can do for that?

No thats what it should do. It runs to the max and stalls the motors.

Did you clean and grease/oil the bearings before fitting?

Look for scoring on your X axis rods as well; this is a definite sign of a bad bearing. I have severe scoring on mine after about a month and a half of printing.
