NetFabb fix causing a problem
I normally run everything thing trough NetFabb fix in the slic3r PE slicers just to make sure all is well. No problems until today when NetFabb closed off a hole during a fix. I'm unsure of where to report this or what so pointers apprciated.
As you can see in the first picture all is well and in fact, slices correctly. In the second NetFabb has closed the hole. BTW, FreeCAD does no find any errors in the STL.

Re: NetFabb fix causing a problem
Is it a problem when another tool closes a hole and Slic3r PE slicers it properly? Not sure I see a problem.
btw: NetFabb is not associated with Prusa.
Re: NetFabb fix causing a problem
It is indirectly Prusa's problem since they provide it as a tool in Slic3r PE for repairing STL files. I would hope they would have mor pull with NetFabb than I in getting the problem fixed since it would be in the interest of both.

Re: NetFabb fix causing a problem
I love your thought process, but Netfabb belongs to Autodesk and they are NEVER going to listen to any home user nor are they likely to consider Prusa an influential Company. Autodesk struggle to acknowledge engineering companies with several thousand CADD Licences in use.

Re: NetFabb fix causing a problem
Hope is all have right now 🙂 All I know about Autodesk is anecdotal and that seems to be "we are right, you a wrong" unless you are paying big money for their products.
Re: NetFabb fix causing a problem
Another pragmatic way of looking at this is to ask yourself this:
Why did you let Netfabb remove the hole in the first place; especially if you actually wanted the hole to remain?
Re: NetFabb fix causing a problem
Because it is supposed fix errors not create them...at least that is how it is promoted by Prusa.
The work-around in this case was easy, it other cases that may not be true..

This is where you report Netfabb bugs.
For your printing issue, as already mentioned, just don't use this tool for this stl file.
