Need to switch nozzle, remove whole hot end
Before I start disassembling, I wanted to ask the best way to remove the hotend on my Mk3s. I just tried to replace my nozzle and when screwing it in, it bottomed out against the heater block, which I know is bad. So I need to screw the feeder tube (or whatever it's called) in a bit more and try again until I can maintain a slight gap between the nozzle and the block, right?
What's the best way to go about making that adjustment so I don't leak filament from my heater block any more and get a nice solid seal?
RE: Need to switch nozzle, remove whole hot end
Bret,
[E3d V6 Hotend assembly]( https://e3d-online.dozuki.com/Guide/V6+Assembly/6?lang=en) could assist you; most relevant steps for you are Steps 3 to 5.
I use a gap of about 1/2 turn between the top of the step of the nozzle and the bottom of the heatbreak, ensuring of course that the top end of the nozzle (inside the heatbreak) seats fully against the bottom of the heatbreak (feeder tube, as you put it). Finger tight
[My nozzle changing checklist and notes]( https://neilt.org/notblog/Prusa_MK3SMMU2_E3d_V6_Hot-end_Nozzle_Changing_Procedure.html) could help you. If we do not ensure that the nozzle and heatbreak are correctly tightened (finger tight) against each other then we **will** get filament leaks and enter the biggest blob on an extruder competition.
Cheers

Fantastic. Thanks, Neil, I'll dig into your guide and get it done tonight. Thanks!

@neil-t The trailing ')' got appended to your changing procedure link rendering the link 'Not Found'.
Great document though, very helpful.

Yes, force of habit on my part: markdown.

I don't have the edit post button available (???) on my previous post so reposting links.
