MK3S z axis problem - fail home, calibration, selftest
Hi everyone,
I am new to the forums and am seeking help with a recent problem that occurred on my clone mk3s, which has had a total print time of 14d. It started with a failed mesh bed levelling before a print, and since then the Z-axis has been behaving strangely. It cannot be homed as it appears to move upwards instead of downwards. Also, the Z-axis calibration and self-test from the printer menu fail due to Z-axis errors. I am running a modified version of the 3.11.0-4955 firmware. No changes to the firmware or hardware were made prior to the error occurring.
To illustrate the issue, I have uploaded some videos to YouTube that might help you to understand the problem:
- z homing error:
- z calibration error: https://youtube.com/shorts/4kbN4lvdfXA
- selftest error: https://youtube.com/shorts/MgPwuz7ejvg
What I have tried so far (without success) is replacing the pinda probe with a new one and unplugging and plugging back in the z motor connectors.
Any help is appreciated, thanks.
