MK3S preheat - overheating!
I recently upgraded to firmware v3.11.0-4955 and it seems that if I power my printer on and preheat for PLA, the nozzle temp rises until it hits 300degrees F, regardless of the PLA setting. It then errors and shuts the preheat off. I believe I only see this happen during the first preheat. If I leave the printer on and preheat again, the nozzle temp increases until the set PLA temp. Anyone else? Is downgrading firmware an option? This has happened to me about 5 times now.
RE: MK3S preheat - overheating!
I haven't seen this published as a wide-spread bug so I suspect it's not firmware related. But sure, you can double-check buy downgrading the firmware. Does it happen for PETG or other materials, or only PLA?

RE: MK3S preheat - overheating!
Thank you for the advice. Of course, after I posted it didn't happen again during preheat. However, my thermistor was intermittently breaking circuit. I noticed the nozzle temp varying quite a bit and was starting to get some crappy prints along with overheating errors while printing. Resistance readings were indicating a broken lead when moving the wires near the hot end. A new thermistor has resolved the issue.
