MK3s louder than older MK3

Hi,

I have really tried to figure this out reading a lot online. But to no avail. Maybe someone in the community can help.

I own an older (2y) MK3 (upgraded to MK3s but will refer to this as MK3) and a less than 1y old MK3s.

The MK3s is much louder. I first realized that on the Z axis. But now that I looked at it more closely I realized that it is also "more violent".

For instance when starting a print the printer calibrates X/Y axis by running them to the end and (sightly) crashing them. That is much more violent (e.g. louder) on the MK3s than on the MK3 where is seeme mor "gentle". It feels as if the MK3s has and uses more power on the motors that might not be necessary.

The same g-code runs on both printers with these differences. So it is not in the g-code.

Any idea would be highly appreciated. Maybe a setting or a parameter I am not aware of.

Cheers Alexander

Thanks anyway

Cheers Alexander

"Violent" is a subjective thing.  If you want an answer you'll have to post a video so people can see exactly what it is that you're referring to.   Also, some people are more sensitive to noise than others, as I've often noticed that what's reported as "quiet" or "silent" by others in reviews turns out to be, at least for me, anything but.
