Mk3s+ Hotend Replacement

Hi, I'm replacing my hotend (purchased directly from Prusa) and I was wondering if it arrived fully ready to install, or if I need ensure that the heat break and nozzle are correctly assembled.

RE: Mk3s+ Hotend Replacement

the hotend should arrive correctly assembled,

However it is a moments task to check.

As you can see in the diagram above, there should be a tiny gap between the hex nut on the nozzle and the heatsink, and the nozzle should be tight, also check that the heat break is tight in the heatsink (try turning the heater block, relative to the heatsink by hand...)
Also check the length of PTFE projecting out of the top of the heatsink and between the old hotend and the new hotend,
If you don't have a correct length of PTFE,  there is a knowledge base article on trimming PTFE
https://help.prusa3d.com/guide/how-to-trim-ptfe-tube-original-prusa-printers_22424
MAKE SURE that all PTFE Trimmings ate cleared out of PTFE tubes before you use them.
PTFE Crumbs will not pass through your nozzle.

Awesome, thanks for your help, Joan. As you said, it was ship shape right out of the box, and the unit is performing perfectly.
