MK3s crashes to the right
Hi
I have a MK3s which has started crashing to the right.
- Selftest is OK
- Tried recalibrating
- Belt is tight
- Pulley and belt do not seem to slip
- Latest firmware
- Printing from SD-card
- The problem occurs on both newly created g-codes and old g-codes which I have printed many times in the past without problems.
RE: MK3s crashes to the right
Does your newly assembled Original Prusa i3 MK3 print the best it can? - Prusa Printers
See if cables are hitting to the frame. See pictures in the website in the link.
Of course check if bearings are good, and nothing is not moving freely, clean rods, oil rods, this is needed every month, if you print a lot.
Check the belt also.
RE: MK3s crashes to the right
Lars, while uncommon, the printer has been known to lose its mind. When its memory is corrupted, a full factory reset often helps. But it is important you use the FACTORY RESET with DATA CLEAR option. Data clear wipes the EEPROM memory holding all of the calibration content, axis sizes, etc. After a data clear, you'll need to run the wizard and calibrate everything as if the printer is new; including optional settings like bed correction, linear advance, linear correction, etc.
RE: MK3s crashes to the right
Ok
We have now factory reset with data clear as well made sure wires do not hit etc.
The problem with sudden crashes to the right still occurs.
RE: MK3s crashes to the right
I had an issue similar to this, when it was crashing to the right just before starting the print..... after unplugging the power panic, it went away. I don't know if it will help in this situation, but it helped me.
Anything can be made better

RE: MK3s crashes to the right
Looks like mine started to done the same
done reset still the same
I’ve had no problem till today
RE: MK3s crashes to the right
This is a very interesting bug. That the power panic board can trigger it suggests a false power failure signal is making the EINSY erroneously do a motion related to power recovery.
Does unplugging the power panic cable help anyone else?
If yes, then it's time to examine the power panic wiring inside the PSU. Maybe one of its connections is loose inside the PSU.
