MK3 bed temperature calibration
Is there a good way to calibrate the bed temperature? I looked through the docs and have searched thru the webs and couldn't find it. Any pointers on method or should I start digging into the FW code? I've noticed that I have a about an 8-10C difference from the setting vs on average with a 5-8C delta between the center area and edges. In order to get a minimum 60C setting for PLA across the entire bed I'm using 70C as the print setting so I'd like to get a more accurate representation of temp to setting.
The engineer in me would rather get a more accurate temperature setting to reflect actual bed temp. :geek:

Re: MK3 bed temperature calibration
Measuring the bed, or the steel sheet? Are you using a cheap IR gun or a real thermal imager? I've seen 2-3 variance on mine before on the steel sheet (with a really shitty IR gun). I would focus more on whether a given temp is working well rather than it being 59c vs 60c vs 61c etc. If you've that much trouble getting adhesion with PLA then you likely have something else going on.
You could try using an enclosure as well to keep things more consistent.

Check that the thermistor on the bottom of the bed is properly installed.
