Material jammed around extruder
Well, I knew I needed to babysit, but I guess I'm a bad parent...
Had a failure over night and material is now jammed all around the extruder head. Any advise on cleaning up the mess or should I replace effected parts?
Re: Material jammed around extruder
First thing that springs to mind is not helpful.
I can't see how you can get that off without heating it somewhat, but how can you do that without heating your printer parts?.
What about if you heat your printing bed as hot as it will go, leave for at least 10 minutes probably more, also the hot end, but only to about 165, you don't want to melt it, raise the print head and see if it is soft enough to fold in half downwards so it comes away from everything, but it may be easier if softened to cut with some side cutters.
Normal people believe that if it ainât broke, donât fix it. Engineers believe that if it ainât broke, it doesnât have enough features yet.
