Looking for a bailout print of one small MK3-MMU2S part to Chicago area
I'm hoping there might be someone here who is willing to print a small part ( FS-cover-mmu2s ) for me in black PETG to get me back up and running? I'm unsure of the going rate but I'd happily make arrangements via Messages.
To make an arduous story as short as I can: I purchased my MMU2 second hand, so no MMU2S upgrade voucher for me. And as far as I know the upgrade kits still aren't for sale. I purchased the MK3S kit instead and luckily understood there were some parts different in the MMU2S version. Printed those. Waited a few months for the MK3S kit to arrive. Disassembled. Started reassembly and discovered there's ALSO a pre-printed part that comes in the MMU2S kit; the one with the brass fitting that sits on top of the extruder assembly called "FS-cover-mmu2s". I found the STL for the part in the MMU2S printable files, as well as a Thingiverse replacement that works with M10 quick connects. Might not be a bad idea for me to commission both, in case I can't figure out how to extract and reinstall the brass thread insert.
I have the original MMU2 version of this part available to me so I intend to break it apart to get the brass fitting that will hopefully press or thread into the FS-cover-mmu2s once I receive it.
