Linear bearings feel rough in mk3 kit

I've built a few 3d printers in the past, and I was surprised how rough the linear bearings in my kit (received on Thursday) were, before assembly. When I put the bearings on the rods, they wanted to twist as the moved, and it felt very grainy as they moved. I've experienced bad linear bearings before and these were some of the worst feeling. Is this normal?

After assembly, the linear bearings are definitely still not moving smoothly, and are the loudest part of the printer. Sure, at slow speeds you can't hear it, but any type of fast traverse is noticeable. Is this what others are experiencing? Or did I just get a bad batch?

Otherwise the kit went together well, and prints with reasonable print quality right away.

I sourced Misumi bearings for my build they are very smooth, much better than the provided ones in the kit. Out of the kit bearings only 4 of them were what i would call good enough to be used, im glad i read all the bearing/rod posts that plagued the forums early this year and was prepared.
