LCD Flickering

On turning on the printer, the LCD keeps flickering.
I tried to turn off/on several times and checked the connections, but failed to resolve the problem.

- Original Prusa MK3 Kit.
- Few test prints were done after the assembly.

I tried also to connect through Pronterface to see if the main controller is responding.
But again I got no reply from the printer.

Lastly I tried to flash the firmware.

First I checked the COM port detection.
After deleting the COM port device and re-connection, the COM port was successfully recognized.

Then, I tried to flash the firmware using Slic3r PE, but got no response from the printer for about 5 minutes, seeing only the progress bar moving endlessly.

Re: LCD Flickering

Mine started flickering immediately after a flashing the firmware. It was most noticeable when going into the print statistics when the screen gets refreshed every second. It was improved after the next firmware release, but possibly not quite as good as the original.

It is slightly annoying, but doesn't appear to be anything more than a cosmetic "feature". I ignore it and get back to printing.

Looks like I didn't make myself clear.

The LCD shows nothing but flashing whole screen.
The printer does not working at all, not responding to any control knob input action.

Re: LCD Flickering

With the help of technical support, I could solve this problem.
It was found the UPS was faulty, providing about 8.4 VDC for both of the two outputs while the normal voltage should be 24 VDC.
After installing a new replacement, everything went smooth.

Thanks, PRUSA RESEARCH!
