LCD control bugs?
MK3 3.(something-576) I lookup later....
Yesterday I was playing with pause/resume and filament sensor disabled/enabled simulated running out of filament.
I found if I have filament autoload on and I run out of filament I am unable to get my printer into a pause state easily (where the nozzle temp is turned off but the bed stays on).
I was able to turn the filament sensor off and get back to main screen however when my printer started laying down ghost layers pause no longer worked. Pressing pause caused a beep to be heard but the printer did not stop after several seconds. Stop did let me stop the print.
In short I I think I confused the lcd controller bit.
Typing on phone at work so I might not make sense but have others ever go a situation where pause did not pause?
Re: LCD control bugs?
If the nozzle temp was turned off, then did the temp drop below 190C? If so, I believe the firmware prevents extrusion even though the rest of the printer continues to operate? I believe that's what caused your "ghost layers"?
Re: LCD control bugs?
I suppose so, but then my question is, why would resume start the print process without the nozzle heating up.
If nobody else has this then I ‘ll assume I achieved it through some random clicking.
Re: LCD control bugs?
I have used pause before, but on firmware 3.1.1, and I did not notice the nozzle cooling. I have not used pause since I updated to 3.2.1.
