IR filament sensor working correctly, but internal plastic lever not springing back to proper position

So my IR sensor is working perfectly fine, I know that. However, the little printed piece that is supposed to engage with the sensor isnt getting sprung out of place from the magnets inside. They are supposed to repel the little plastic piece and therefore push the ball bearing into the filament channel, but it doesnt work. Im wondering if something in the extruder assembly is tightened too much or too little making it not able to move of maybe i should reprint one of the parts. And help is appreciated. 🙂

It could be one of several things, all of which require disassembly of the extruder housing.

Either the magnets are installed ‘backwards,’ the screw that holds the lever arm is too tight, or there’s interference between some of the moving parts, which will require filing or sanding to adjust.

Cheers
