Installing RaspberryPi 3B+.

Bought a RaspberryPi 3B+, printed a case and a camera mount. I *can* solder 6 wires to the header and run them to the einsy board as though the RPi 3B+ was just a RPi Zero, but someone, somewhere mentioned that it could be connected via USB instead (no soldering - yay!)

Before I go trying to create and solder a wiring harness, (a) is a USB connection possible, and (b) is there anything I need to know about making it work?

To answer the question asked... Yes you can connect your 3B+ to the printer with the USB cable.  Doing so also avoids power issues and such which can manifest when using the onboard RPi port and requires no special attention otherwise.

Thanks, Steve. And cwbullet, I'd solder (or probably crimp) because I don't have an 8-pin to 6-pin connector already, and I love to make such things, thus introducing anguish into my otherwise-perfect life.

So, run a USB-Type-A-to-USB-Type-B cable, A-to-theRPi, B-to-the-top-of-theEinsy-Enclosure, I assume.

What, then (if anything) do I need to do to get it up and running?
