How to display remaining print time with Simplify3D?
Hi folks
I saw that in the Slic3r PE version 1.40.1 there is now a way to display the remaining print time on the LCD screen when you print from SD card.
I would love to know if I can have this display as well for files sliced with Simplify3D?
How can I go about achieving this? If I have to add some G-code script, what are those scripts?

GCODES generated by Slic3r display the time remaining.
GCODES generated by Simplify3D show time elapsed, even though Simplify3D does give me a time estimate after slicing.

Slic3r embeds codes as it generates the gcode. They are not calculated at print time, but rather embedded directly in the code. This means that there is no way to "turn on" the capability in gcode generated by any other slicer. The slicer developers must incorporate this capability. I have not read anything of such plans for Cura, Simplify 3D, KISSlicer or IdeaMaker.

Strange that the other slicers don't do it... seems... irresponsible! Ha.

Just a suggestion...
I also just started using Simplify3D and have the same grudge! 🙂
I use OctoPrint with a few plugins and that provides pretty accurate remaining time of print... so I can check either on my phone using an app, or on my web browser.

I found an easy way to show approximated remaining print time with S3s 4.1.2 sliced gcode, but some additions to the firmware (Marlin_main.cpp) are necessary, which should not be everyone's cup of tea. If anyone is interested, I can tell more about it.
