Re: Hotend Broken/Leaking, Seeking Advice
What printer is that Off?
The nozzle is not e3D.
The heat block is too close to the cooling fins
Leaking is probably happening because the nozzle is tight on the heat block rather than tight against the heat break

Re: Hotend Broken/Leaking, Seeking Advice
in the diagram above
you can see that the nut area of the brass nozzle is not quite touching the aluminium heat block, but the end of the nozzle screw thread is in intimate contact with the end of the heat break. I suspect the thread on your non standard nozzle is a little short.
I use a tool like this to install and remove nozzles

Re: Hotend Broken/Leaking, Seeking Advice
this looks similar to the nozzle that you have
if you compare it to
or
you will see the screwthread is shorter on the first version.
the top two types are chinese models, the bottom version is proper e3D you will note that e3D put dimples in the nozzle hex faces rather than engraving numbers on there!, the dimples are easier to see when the nozzle is dirty!

Re: Hotend Broken/Leaking, Seeking Advice
Joan, thank you for the advice. Yes, I did replace the nozzle. It was one I had laying around from when a bought some replacement nozzles for a different printer. I'm glad it's just that, and nothing more serious.
Re: Hotend Broken/Leaking, Seeking Advice
the new nozzle that you fitted is probably about 2mm shorter than the correct length... which would spoil your day!
I don't know where you are locate, if in the UK, then e3D can probably supply a replacement faster and at less expense, than Prusa
elsewhere, have a look at the e3D resellers list!
good luck!

Re: Hotend Broken/Leaking, Seeking Advice
I'm in California, USA. I ordered a couple from MatterHackers. Thanks, again.
My only worry is that there may be plastic stuck inside. Is there a possibility of permanent damage?

It's highly unlikely that melting plastic will permanently damage your aluminum block
A little bit of heat, some torque, the hotend assembly instructions and a brass brush should get you on your way.
Worst case, buy a tap for the nozzle hole (M6x1?) and chase the thread when you have it apart.
