Hot end fan not spinning after MK3 to MK3S upgrade
I performed the MK3 to MK3S upgrade on my printer and now the hot end fan doesn't run. When I turn on the printer it runs for about 5 seconds and turns off. I ran the self test and the came back as OK, and during the self test it briefly turned on. And yes I checked to make sure the hot end fan and the print fan were in the correct sockets.
I did flash the printer with the latest MK3S firmware, and the LCD display reports MK3S.
Any ideas as to what is going on and how to get it working?
Thanks

Hm, I'd say a) do a factory reset (there have been some quirks like this reported after upgrades) and if that fails, reflash the firmware.

Errrm... is your hotend over 50C? It doesn't kick in until then. If it spins on powerup and passes self test the fan is working.

Yes, I ran a PLA pre-heat cycle and it didn't come on and I waited until it read over 200 degrees, then I killed it.

Vintagepc - you are my hero. I did a reset and set the nozzle temp to ~55 degrees and the hot end fan turned on.
I very much appreciate your quick response, pointing me to a resolution of my problem. Now I'm just a calibration away from getting my printer back online. Hove to love it, a very affordable upgrade for my MK3.
Again, many thanks for pointing me in the right direction. You really made my day, as I was pretty despondent after taking a day off work to tend to two sick dogs and do the upgrade, and the printer didn't work after the upgrade 🙁

Seriously, your community support made a difference. My MK3 was my only working printer. My Monoprice Maker Select Plus has a blown Melzi and it's half way through a Ramps 1.4 conversion. My Monoprice Mini Delta cant heat properly so I have to modify it for airflow exit not intake.
Thanks for bringing my MK3S to life.
