HELP - Thermal model calibration failed
Hi all,
This is my first time modifying a Prusa printer. I replaced the stock extruder and hotend with my own setup and it has a 24V 50W heater cartridge and a standard 100K NTC thermistor (B3950).
During heating tests, I got a “thermal anomaly” warning, and only then learned about the Thermal Model Protection feature in the firmware.
I tried running thermal model calibration, but it failed when the temperature reached around 95°C and thermal model calibration aborts and shows “Print Aborted” on the screen. . I also attempted PID autotune, and encountered a similar issue: the target temperature resets to 0°C, the hotend fan spins at full speed, and the process stops without completing.
I’d really appreciate any advice on how to fix this. What’s the recommended way to make this setup work with the Prusa firmware?
Thanks in advance!
