Heater not working, No voltage across board connection

Hello,

During printing, the wire connecting the thermistor broke, and accidentally it along with the heater was replaced with the version from the mk2. Now when the correct parts for the mk3 are installed, the hotend does not heat up. We visually checked all the fuses, and they seem to be fine, we also used a volt meter to see if there was a voltage change when the hotend was supposed to be heating up and when it was in a standby condition, and there was no change. Additionally, the bed heats up just fine with no issue.

Do you have any idea how to fix this or what I could try to resolve the issue?

Thank you,

Samantha

Did you move the 12v heater from the Mk2 to the Mk3 which supplies 24v  ?

Check the fuses with a multimeter, also, check the heater - it should read a few ohms, I forget the correct value but it should neither be an open circuit or a dead short.   If the heater does read OK then reinstate it in the Mk2 ... you will need to buy the 24v heater for the Mk3.

Cheerio,

Thank you for your help. It turns out one of the fuses had blown!
