heat bed creep?
I just updated to firmware 3.3.1 today.
I normally print pla, and in the past when printing things over 50mm z-axis the bed temp remained the same. I would use all the defaults in sli3cer pe, and on the printer. The bed would stay at 60c. Plus or minus 1.
I have printed a few small items in petg, but after upgrading slicer and the firmware, i decided to go bigger to test the petg and the firmware. This print was set to prusa petg in slicer pe. This print was about 5 hours in out of 7, i have been in the room listening for print issues, but not looking at the screen. At about 70mm in z, i saw the bed was at 90! When staring it was at 80. I lowered it down to 70. 30 minutes later i saw it crept to 75. I have since dropped it to 50.
Having not printed this tall in petg before, and my experience with pla this didnt happen, is this normal? I know i have changed a few variables, but due to the time constraint to testing it again, i figured i'd reach out to see if anyone else has seen this. Normal or not for the bed to raise the temp when printing petg?
Thanks.
Re: heat bed creep?
Good morning Josh,
the Slic3r PETG Profile raises the bed temp to 90C and filament temp to 240C
