Gaps in rectilinear solid infill on MK3S

Hello,

A bit of a background:

Printer: MK3S, 6 months old, assembled by me, myself and the cat.

Slicer: Prusaslicer latest version, default presets

Firmware: 3.8.0

So lately i've been noticing something strange which i believe happened after i updated to 3.8 (as none of my previous prints show the problem). Whenever a solid rectilinear layer is printed i get gaps between the lines, like the nozzle is not doing the overlaps properly or the distance between the lines is off. At first i thought i had underextrusion problems but the first layer is usually perfect, there are no gaps between perimeters and vertical surfaces are nice and regular. No gaps are shown when i'm using concentric or any other settings.

I've cleaned the nozzle squeaky clean, did a few cold pulls, everything that should be rolling rolls and everything that shouldn't doesn't. Mechanically speaking i can't find anything wrong with the printer and the filament i'm using is pretty dry (noticed the gaps on a new spool actually). Either i'm going crazy or something is wrong somewhere.

I'll investigate with the newest firmware and maybe try another slicer, might as well put that simplify 3d licence to use. Anyone else noticed this recently?

Filament diameters change, and that's why slicer has the filament diameter setting. Try printing the same gcode with one of your old filaments, if the problem goes away you know its the new filament.

If filament isn't it, then down-rev to 3.7.x.  Again, if the problem persists move to the next item in the list.
