First layer drift (at least for the first print of the day...)
Hey all,
i encounter the following problem on my MK3S (latest firmware):
It seems, that overnight my first layer shifts upwards by about 0.1 mm every night.
So if i just start printing the first layer is not squished at all and i have gaps everywhere. When i adjust it right and the print is finished i start the next print and the nozzle is nearly digging straight into the bed because the first layer is way to low.
I was thinking about temperature dependency on the PINDA (not heating my flat so its always about 16 °C) and run temperature calibration which didn't help.
Any other suggestions?
Happy printing

RE: First layer drift (at least for the first print of the day...)
You can use the PINDA warm-up routine -- technically not required since PINDA v2 was released -- to warm the entire printer provided you don't have a SuperPINDA mounted.

RE: First layer drift (at least for the first print of the day...)
I actually tried warming up the printer a bit - but it seems to need about 20 minutes at least to get a good result. Is that routine built in? Where can i find it?
RE: First layer drift (at least for the first print of the day...)
So i tried heating up the PINDA to 35 °C before printting: Still during the first print the first layer is about 1 layer to high. With consecutive prints the first layer gets perfect...
Hoping for some help
Best regards
