Firmware 3.14 does not work with super pinda

I have a MK3S+ with a super pinda. After the upgrade to firmware 3.14 is cannot print anymore.

After the upgrade it first does ~10 probes on the left side of the print bed and then starts again with the 49 probes. Unfortunately it stops every time after ~30 probes. It complains that the Z axis is out of balance and the Z motors go all the way up and then down again. The printer then stops and asks for a new z-axis calibration. Unfortunately the z layer calibration is also broken and shows the same behaviour.

Going back to firmware 3.13.3 fixed the problem.

  • I have the same problem as you. Did you find any other solutions to avoid returning to 3.13?

Same exact problem. For now going back to 3.13.3 , glad to see we can load older firmwares. Some devices I own won't allow going bacwards. Hope there is a fix soone.

Try running Z calibration manually, to quote the 3.14.0 release notes:

To get the best results with this feature, it is recommended to run a Z calibration to update the default mesh information in the EEPROM. The default mesh is used outside of the probed print area and also for determining bad points that need to be rechecked.

I have zero issues with my Super PINDA.

What finaly worked for me, I re-ran the Wizard. For what ever reason this time through everything calibrated fine. And at the end I got a happy printing message.

Hi, I also faced the same problem today after updating the firmware to 3.14 yesterday.

I solved it by running the Z-calibration with the steel sheet on the heatbed.

Not sure this is a proper way, but when I ran the Z-calibration without the sheet (as I used to do), a bed levelling error was triggered when starting a print.

Not sure this is a proper way, but when I ran the Z-calibration without the sheet (as I used to do), a bed levelling error was triggered when starting a print.

The Z calibration measures 9 points so the sheet needs to be installed. Only during XYZ calibration you need to remove the sheet in the beginning to scan for the 4 calibration points on the bed. Later you will be asked to place the sheet on the bed and the Z calibration is performed scanning the 9 points.

If you read the release notes https://github.com/prusa3d/Prusa-Firmware/releases Mesh Bed Leveling (MBL) improvements part you will find this information.

To get the best results with this feature, it is recommended to run a Z calibration to update the default mesh information in the EEPROM. The default mesh is used outside of the probed print area and also for determining bad points that need to be rechecked.

Thank you for your reply. Indeed I read that it was recommended to run a z-calibration. However I ran it without the sheet at first.

It makes sense to put the sheet on during the z-calibration, thanks for clarification.

Hi guys, I don't know if it can help but I solved it with two things, I reprinted the Z axis and replaced it, then I realized that I hadn't connected the panic cable. Now the calibration on the 7x7 works
