Fillament sensor not working although bite says OK
Greetings all,
Assembled my I3MK3 about 3 weeks ago , and am still in the test fase. Lots of fillament without any usefull results.
But yesterday I got a huge problem which I am not able to resolve. I hope someone can help me troubleshoot.
When I try to print something, the printer does the first line in the corner , than starts with the first layer, but after a couple of seconds it goes to the right front corner and says "click to pull out fillament". Which I do.
When I try to load fillament, the sensor does not "see" it and the motor does not start to run to load the fillament. (fillament sensor and autoload enabled)
When I disable the fillament sensor and manually load the fillament , all works fine.
When I run the calibration test , and wizard, it test the fillament sensor and says "OK"
So what does that all mean?
-during the test al OK : means for me the sensor device is powered , and sending out data.
-but unable to "see" the fillament: The sensor itself is faulty.
How best to proceed and further troubleshoot?
Many thanks,
Cor

What filament? I had the same problem with a very shiny filament. No problem with others.

Interesting.
I am using the white ABS which I ordered together with the 3D-printer at Prusa.
Let me try with gray PLA in a couple of days.
Thanks,
