Filament stuck in hotend attempting to replace PTFE tube
Hi All,
I posted a while back but stopped responding waited for Prusa support. Responses are pretty long in between, i've had the printer for two weeks and its been broke for 99% of that time. I explained that I couldn't get the filament out and load/unload wasn't doing anything. The filament had broke in half. They asked me to replace the PTFE tube - not realizing that the hotend is suppose to be empty...can't empty it when its stuck ='[
So when I got the old PTFE tube out, I can't put a new one in. The original jam looks cleared, but right now I have no PTFE tube in my hotend and not sure the proper protocol to remove the stuck filament to load a new PTFE tube to be on my merry way. Do I remove the actual print nozzle at this point? Any guides or direction would be extremely helpful. Thanks!

can you take the nozzle off? I be the filament would come with it.
I have a Prusa,therefore I research.

I'm still in the stages of being terrified of doing anything with out being told. Just hit it with a 7mm socket and put it back in?

Sigh its not attached to the nozzle. There is filament stuck in the nuzzle, but its not attached to the fillament in the hot end. Can I push it thru the hotend with like the allen wrench that came with? What about the stuff in the nozzle - is that fine will it melt and come through, or do I have to get it out.

I tried a pretty strong ifix it tweezer and I couldn't grab the filament out from the top. Should I try something from the bottom? If I got a good grab from the top and it STILL didn't pull out does that mean the filament might be melted or fuzed somewhere? Shouldn't be if the PTFE tube was there before right?
Should I do this hot - no cause the filament would melt to the heatblock (since theres no PTFE in there right now) right?

maybe you can unscrew the heat break from the heat block. no better time to get your hands wet. if it doesn't come loose easy, just turn on the heat and let it heat up abit. just be carful with the heater wires and temp probe wires.
once you have it all apart, you wont be to worried.
