Filament Sensor/Unload with 3.12 beta firmware and Prusa Enclosure

I love my new enclosure and the idea of mushroom cloud mitigation with the new firmware, but I've found a problem with filament runout. Now that I have the enclosure and Obico, I have been running out spools with not much filament on them. But, that gets me into trouble. The filament sensor response seems pretty slow and the filament runs down far enough that it won't pop out of the new top plate you are supposed to use with the enclosure. Then you are in no-man's land. Can't unload, not easy to re-load. Also difficult to get at the filament with the printer in the enclosure.

I have not yet tested with the old filament sensor cover, but I will. I do have the new (ball bearing) filament sensor.

Any other suggestions? I would have thought that the printer would stop as soon as the filament end passes the sensor, but that doesn't seem to be the case. That also can be tested more carefully.

I am confused.  Are you having problems loading or unloading?

RE:

Unloading -- there's not enough filament left after runout to get past the fs cover (enclosure edition) so you can pull it out. Then you are kind of stuck because you can't easily load or unload.
