Filament Sensor Forgets Setting

This particular MK3S forgets the Fil. Sensor setting, so if I am using a partial roll of filament, it will not stop and alarm if it runs out of filament.  When I turn on my printer, I always have to ensure that the Fil. Sensor setting is on and that requires a preheat, unload, then go into Settings>Fil. Sensor from N/A to ON.  Then I can load filament and it will alarm the end of the filament.  If I leave the printer on, it won't forget, but will if I turn it off.

My other MK3S does not lose that setting after turning off.  It is always set and is never a problem and will always alarm at the end of the filament.

I thought it was an issue with the F. Autoload setting that but setting cannot be turned on unless the Fil. Sensor setting is turned on first, then the F. Autoload turns on automatically.

Is there another setting to make the Filament Sensor always stay on?

Hi what is the firmware version on your printer?

Looking at the code (3.12) this does indicate the Filament sensor is in some error state. It can be triggered due to incorrect voltage being applied on the sensor, could you double check the connections?

Another question:does the faulty MK3S have a filament sensor from MK3 (PAT9125) or MK2.5? I see in the code the error is mostly reported for that type of sensor.
