Filament sensor
Hello , I had bought 2 Mk3s printers back in July and got them assembled , Both work great but I did notice that one of them has an intermittent filament sensor , At first it worked perfect , feeding the filament without any problems , after a few days I noticed I had to insert the filament several times before it would respond and feed , this led to no response at all from the sensor and needing to switch to manual feed mode which is how I have been using this printer the last couple months , I decided to look at it today and pulled the cover off the top and also removed the filament sensor itself , The swinging lever moves freely and springs back away from the magnet just like it should , it doesn't bind up at all , The sensor itself though seems to be not positioned correctly ???
I played around with the position and how tight the sensor was secured down but the best I can get it to perform is it will feed after inserting the filament about 3 times , rapidly removing it seems to help trigger it to start feeding , Is the sensor itself needing replacement ir is there any tricks for installing or repairing this issue ??

Take a look at the fourth post in the thread:
also look at the reading from the software in the menu to see if it is indeed detected correctly.

Ok so I was doing some searching on the forums and saw where someone had suggested on shimming up the sensor just a tad .
I did just this and it seems to have fixed the issue !
