Filament not extruding at all...

Hi,

My printer stopped extruding mid print. I assumed a clog. I ran through the procedures to clear it, still no luck. I tried a couple of different filaments to make sure it wasn't a diameter issue. No luck. The printer feeds the filament but seems to just stop at some point. I checked the idler screw tension, inspected and cleaned the pulley and idler gears, they appear to be as they should. From there I moved to the PTFE tube. Upon inspection it was clean, no sign of a clog. I replaced it anyway, made sure to pull the little black collar up a bit.
Still no luck so I replaced the nozzle. I cannot force filament through it.
And that did not work, either. It's like there is something stuck in the hot end assembly but not sure how to proceed at this point. Any thoughts?

Thanks

try heating the hot end to say 280C, let the printer stand heating to 280C for say 5 minutes, then after removing the  bondtech idler tension screw,  try to push a 1.5mm allen wrench into the extruder, from the top, to push whatever is in the extruder, out. then after removing the allen wrench,  restore the idler tension screw and try loading again

Thank you, Joan.

I turned off the autoload and removed the idler tension screw. It felt like there was an obstruction and it pushed through. Replaced the screw. Filament still did not feed. I removed the filament and heated up the nozzle to 280 for a few minutes, to see if it would melt anything. No success. The filament seems to be consistently feeding 5.5 cm into the machine. I'm a bit worried I may have to disassemble the hotend assembly further.

@jaydemonster

Looks like you may have to dismantle the hot end!

have you tried taking out the nozzle and extruding without a nozzle in place or trying to push the 1.5mm allen wrench through with no nozzle?

be careful when replacing the nozzle, the end of the nozzle thread should butt firmly against the end of the Heatbreak, without the hex of the nozzle touching the heatblock.

Thank you! I disassembled the hot end and found this! Not sure how I didn't notice it when putting in the new PFTE tube but I may have pushed it down with the allen wrench.
