Filament clogs on long prints with low layer height.
I am printing a larger piece that takes 36 hours to print with adaptive layer height set to max quality. I have the issue now for the 3rd attempt that the filament stops extruding properly. In the first cases it stopped completely, it got so stuck that I had to exchange the hotend since I could not get the filament out anymore.
With the third attempt now, I "caught it in the act" and did a unload/reload of the filament in the middle of the print to make sure it works. I am worried that it will clog up again though.
Is this a normal issue? I printed a lot of other stuff (also 70 hours+) with this setting and never had an issue. I thought in the beginning it's the hotend quality but it seems that even a brand new hotend does not help here.
I'm aware of course that I can increase the layer height but I want to find out first if this is an issue to be expected.
Printing with PLA (and default settings)
