Filament Blob Damaged Thermister / Heater Cables. Am I screwed?
I was printing the other night and had my print fail where the filament began to form the dreaded blob under my extruder. I have had smaller blobs form before and I have heated up my extruder and let it "melt off" the extruder and motor; however, this time the blob was so large it was difficult to remove. I did my best to safely remove it; however, I failed and ripped a wire. I built my MK3S+ printer in 2020 and it has been an absolute tank of a printer. Can anyone else me diagnose what should be replaced here? Is it even worth it or should I splurge for the MK3S+ to MK4S upgrade kit? Prior to removing the blob, it was giving me a "THERMAL ANOMALY" warning on my LCD screen. Looking for any and all advice, thank you.
RE: Filament Blob Damaged Thermister / Heater Cables. Am I screwed?
I upgraded to mk3.9 (less expensive than Mk4)
you could replace the e3dv6 with a Revo6 (remembering to change the firmware to the revo version) at lower cost
