Extruder feed clicking, not feeding consistently
Been using this printer without issue for several weeks now but I've hit a snag. It looks like the feed spool was unable to turn mid-print (reusable spools and a thumb screw contacted the holder) and now I'm having this issue:

Stripped gear or a jam maybe?
Not even sure where to start looking...
Re: Extruder feed clicking, not feeding consistently
Combination of possibilities: check the Bondtech gear teeth. Unload the filament, open the idler door, inspect the two gears for debris. The teeth are probably full of filament. Use a stiff brush and carefully clean all of the teeth. On the unloaded filament, there is likely a notch ground into it. Cut off that section. Use compressed air to blow out the area, and try to get some air to move down the PTFE tube to get any debris out that you can (heat break jams can be caused by debris that falls down and later locks the filament during printing).
Once you think you have everything cleaned up - load the trimmed filament and test extrusion again.
if you still have problems, post a follow up.
Re: Extruder feed clicking, not feeding consistently
I'm new to all of this so I wasn't sure where to start, but after doing more reading it did seem like a jam and I basically did exactly what you suggested.
Cleaned the Bondtech gears, ended up going through the jam clearing procedure (2 cold pulls) and then retensioning the idler. All good now, thanks!
