Extruder Clicking, Prints Failing HELP PLEASE
Hey everyone, I have been printing for months and months with no problem, then all of the sudden I have started having a clicking noise 30+ minutes into a print and filament stops coming out of the extruder. I have a MK3S and I have replaced the entire heater block, nozzle, PTFE tube, extruder motor, and bond tech gears and am having the same issue. I am using Prusament PLA filament and have also tried Fulament's Premium PLA. I am at my wits end with this issue and my printer has now been down for almost 3 months. I reached out to Prusa support and kept being told that I have a clog, which I don't see how that's possible if everything has been replaced. I would love to get my printer working again. Thanks, Travis!
You probably have a clog
Instead of going nuts and just replacing things when you don't understand the problem, do a little bit reading ... when they say you have a clog, you probably have a clog. Did you replace everything yourself? Ever done it before? It's probably in need of some tuning. Especially since ... you have a clog.
Do - look up cold pull
Do - adjust your filament tension screw
Do - look up how to properly install the PTFE tube
Do - look up how to properly install the heat-block and nozzle
I would add, make sure you're printing at the right temperature. I'm sure you're using the Prusament PLA or Generic PLA profiles, but I'm simply offering this suggestion in the spirit of covering all aspects of your problem.
