Extruder Clicking at Specific Points On Bed

My Prusa MK3S+ has been a flawless printer until the other day. Suddenly on a large print, the corners nearest the power supply are causing extrusion clicking. The steps I have tried are below in no specific order.

Swapped out the PTFE tube and tried several cold pulls

Tried CURA instead of Prusaslicer, as well as loading files directly onto an SD card instead of Octoprint.

Swapped nozzle for a new one.

Factory reset printer twice.

Tried several different filaments including PLA and PETG, and both same results.

I checked connections to the EINSY board which all look good.

Fans are working.

Bondotech gears don't appear to be worn. The printer is also able to print a full model so long as it is smaller and in the center of the build plate. I have purchased new ones just in case.

On a factory reset, I never changed the Z-Offset to make sure it wasn't the nozzle crashing the bed, which it was not.

Filament does load correctly and unloads correctly. As stated, I was even able to run a full print last night, so long as it stayed in the center of the build area.

Link to my test file, which is just a large .2mm box shape.

Shape-Box -Test File

Failed print, found in corner closest to control panel knob

Successful print, printed in the center of the bed.

Further steps I have tried today:

Changed out filament IR sensor

Changed Idler Spring

Removed Nylock mod

Used G-Code from printables directly to eliminate issues with computer-generated code.

Results are still the same with jamming in the exact same spots as before.

Double check to be sure there’s no particulate stuck between the heat bed and the build plate in that area. Maybe try flipping the build plate upside down to see if the issue moves or stays in the same place.

Make sure there’s not something under one of the printers feet, causing it to sit unevenly on your work surface.

Did you recently move or relocate the printer?

Check tightness of all the screws in the frame and chassis.

It certainly sounds like something is out of alignment.

Hope you get it sorted.

Thanks for the reply, unfortunately, all of that has been checked to death at this point. I've been resetting XYZ every time I make a change since it requires me to move the printer. I also check underneath the feet and bed every time.

I did give all the frame bolts a once over and checked the carriage bolts again to make sure they were tight enough. No luck.

I've decided to make a quick video showing the issue best I can. I should probably add another part detailing that smaller prints in these affected areas work. Just not large ones.

It is possible to overtighten some of these and they must be tightened in strict order ...

Are you usung 7x7 mesh bed levelling?

Place a straightedge on the bed and look for curvature.

Cheerio,

While I haven't gotten my hands on a reliable enough ruler to check the bed level yet, I have made another video detailing that the nozzle can be set to a zero z-offset (in the air) and still causes the jam/under extrusion. I'll report back once I've also checked the bed level with a reliable tool.

Have had the same issue a couple of times - mine even crashed the bed. Changing filament made it run again without any calibration for a week printing perfectly and then did it again. It starts clicking just like yours as if it can't push the filament through. I've read a fix changing the tube inside the extruder as it can cause the problem if theres a little space at the bottom which fills up with filament but havent had time to try it yet.
