Experience with 0.25 nozzle?
PLA is my main interest, but info on BVOH would be appreciated as well. Thanks.
Re: Experience with 0.25 nozzle?
I've had good luck using an E3D plated copper 0.25mm nozzle. The only reason I went plated copper was it was in stock. I've also had good results using generic brass 0.30mm nozzles. I had problems using 0.20mm, but have learned a lot since then, so will have to try it again.
Things print very slowly at this resolution, but you can pick out a lot of detail that will simply be missed at thicker extrusions.
You can see some of the results in this thread. A couple more 0.30mm results with the 0.30mm print here.

Re: Experience with 0.25 nozzle?
I used my 0.25 nozzle the first time yesterday. It was really hard to achieve a good first layer and I had a bit under extrusion, but after that, it worked really well.
Re: Experience with 0.25 nozzle?
I've been setting a 0.20mm 1st layer height across the board with good results.

Re: Experience with 0.25 nozzle?
Sounds encouraging. Other than the nozzle size, what additional settings values did you change/use? Thanks.
