RE: einsy rambo board or heatbed?
@karl-herbert
Mine at the "200" ohm setting reads 4.7-4.8.
Its weird, because if I turn up the temperature to the bed in the settings I can feel the bed warming up, the center seems to stay cool to touch, and within 10-20sec I'll get the "Bed preheat error."
The bed is getting the 24v when it calls for it and the thermistor resistance checks out. I also tested the thermistor to make sure it was properly reading temp by taking my heat gun and running it above the heatbed, and it seemed to be doing its job as I could see the temp climbing on the lcd panel.
So if the bed doesn't heat up quickly, I'm guessing part of the board isn't heating, will that generate the errors we've been getting?
When I tested the hot end temp I noticed that climbed in temp very quick!
RE: einsy rambo board or heatbed?
If the center of the bed is remaining cool then it sounds as if your heatbed is indeed failed. You have already confirmed that the heatbed thermistor is providing a reading that changes with temperature so it does not appear that the problem is feedback.
Next step is probably to contact Prusa support via the Eshop chat and see what they have to say. Depending upon the age of your printer they may replace the heatbed under warranty.
Good luck,
Steve

@csteinke
Hi there.
Any luck getting your unit to work? And as you got a new board which version did you get?
Thanks
RE: einsy rambo board or heatbed?
@kevin-g13
I'm still waiting for a new board. I'll be sure to let you know once it comes in and I get it installed. Hopefully soon, but I believe they are waiting for them to come in from overseas.
Warm regards,
RE: einsy rambo board or heatbed?
I'm backkkkkkk!
I should have some time to start looking at things now.
Did you ever: (1) get your board, (2) ---> what board did you get <---, and (3) did it work?
Thanks!
RE: einsy rambo board or heatbed?
@kevin-g13
Your timing of questions are spot on. I finally got the new MK52 heatbed yesterday! I may get around to it today, if so I'll be sure to let you know if the heatbed was causing the error. Stay tuned.
RE: einsy rambo board or heatbed?
@kevin-g13
I finally got the board hooked up, MK52 24v from ALL3D Makers.
Yes it worked! Passed the heatbed test! Finally. Now I just need to flash the correct firmware and hopefully everything else is smooth sailing.
Best,

AWESOME DUDE!!!!!!!
So happy to hear you are having some good luck.
I'm back to a standard 5 day, but still on call, so I hope I'll have some time to get back on this.
You said you got "MK52 24v from ALL3D Makers" do you know what board that is?
ie: Einsy Rambo 1.1A or the Einsy Rambo 1.1B? No one seems to be able to answer this the WWW over!
You said you needed to flash the firmware, was it pre-programmed and your just updating the PRUSA stuff or more?
Wow! All the best to you and yours - I'm really happy for you. We need some happy in this crazy world right now!
Stay safe!!!!

RE: einsy rambo board or heatbed?
hi,
just an interesting remark that happened to me while i was making the deans connector for my IKEA cabinet. same results you get if that power cutoff detector is connected wrong( i mean opposite) it has polarity. 😉
