Bed leveling failed. Sensor didn't trigger. Debris on nozzle?
Recently I started a business with my Son, have been printing molds on my Prusa. Everything was going swimmingly, I love the printer and the quality is fantastic. Last night i finished a print and turned it off in the usual way and when I turned it on this morning to print a new item it dove the Nozzle straight into the bed and came up with an error: 'Bed leveling failed. Sensor didn't trigger. Debris on nozzle? The Nozzle looks fine, there is nothing under the sheet totally flat and wasn't removed since yesterday. Nozzle is clear as I can manually feed PLA through.
I tried the normal things like unloading and reloading the PLA, I also totally recallibrated and when it got to the Z Axis it did the same again, slowly lowering the nozzle down in the calibration Wizard until it was scratching the bed with no sign of stopping. I had to hit the reset button.
Now with a full re calibration I cant play with Z offsets etc because it needs to complete a full Setup Wizard which of course I now regret trying. Times are pretty tough for business with all the Covid madness going on so last thing I need is to kill my production line. Assistance greatly appreciated from our wise forum of experts.
Could the sensor have failed it has a red light on the top of it when it powers on!

If you hold a metal object (such as a screwdriver) against the PINDA sensor, the diode should go out. If it does not, the cable may be damaged. Also, make sure the cable connector is properly fitted without gap.
Also check that when the nozzle tip touches the bed, the distance between the bed and PINDA should be approx. 1 mm, not more.

So yea the PINDA light does go out when I put something under it and also The PINDA hasn't moved its about 1mm from the nozzle height.

UPDATE: You were spot on mate. The PINDA had moved up its clip and was too high so it wasn't detecting the sheet and letting the nozzle hit the deck. Appreciate the advise. comforting to know there are smart people out there willing to help. 😀 😀
