E-Axis not moving and it is not a motor issue.

Hi,
Suddenly my extruder motor does not move anymore. The problem seems to be on the Ensy side since when I change the e-axis motor connector to one of the others it works as expected.
The connector itself seems ok, no dirtiness or anything particular, connecting other motors there also results they don't move. Is it possible the driver broke?

I have an Mk3S with MMU2S.

What can I do?

There is at least a chance this might be covered by warranty. Worth checking.

Ah my good old Rambo 1.4... The drivers just plug on. Also makes it easy to swap around for testing.

I've kept testing everything I can think of to no avail... unfortunately I miss a multimeter to make proper measurements directly on the connector.

At the moment I think the only solution is to buy a new board.

Just think it is a waste since the other 3 axis work.

Best regards

Broken extruder wires are very common.   Swap the connectors for X and E at the Einsy, and then test moving the X axis using the Move Axis menu.  If the extruder moves then try moving E.  If the X position doesn't move you've demonstrated the wires might be okay and the Einsy might be at fault.

Failed Einsy drivers are not so common, but it happens.

I had already tried it but all the motors work except when connected to the e-axis connector. Even if it was not the driver that indeed has a lot of electrical tolerances due to the nature of its application it can also be another smaller component related to it. Unfortunately, I don't have the tools to diagnose such detail and fix it.

It was indeed the case. They were very helpful and friendly I just had to provide them with a video of the issue.
