Does print via USB vs SD card differ in quality?
Hello forum:
I would like to know if print via usb differs in quality to SD card, because in my case they seems to differ, due to the feeder gear issue identified in #602;
the models printed are linearity calibration tower, absolute same base G-code left and right, absolute same condition printer, all checked and tuned, both turned correction off prior to print;
on the left from SD card we are able to give g code modifier and change Correction value per layer;
on the right side we are not able to send modifier, pronterface console says Unknown code, and the correction is not performed, even the printing speed seems to differ;
i also tried to print a retraction tower via Cura+USB with modifier and that is working;
My demand is to print via usb without compromising quality (i still have to send G-code using desktop and now i cannot send M codes whatsoever), and wifi SD card/octoprint is not in scope of consideration;
is there an actual difference between USB/SD? Or is it just a problem of Pronterface? I would have to try executing G-code with Cura later and see anything changes.
