Do I have to change settings when changing build surfaces?

Pretty much what the title says. I just built my Mk3s+ and have a textured build plate coming to print PETG on. I noticed there were settings somewhere in the menu that mentioned the smooth build plate so I was wondering if I change anything in the settings when I change plates?

Change temp settings according to filament used.

I would also complete a quick first layer configuration on the build plate too.

Each individual build plater , even if they are of the same type, needs to be calibrated for that particular sheet.  There are minor differences between same types and greater differences between types form example smooth and textured.  SO you need to do a first layer calibration for each as well as a fine tune live z.  That can then be stored in the firmware slots for later recall and use.

Ok great, thank you. SO I can calibrate the plates and store them in the firmware, and then I load that plate's calibration from a slot when I want to use it correct?

Yes. You just select the matching slot and it loads your saved z offset.
If you change nozzles or do any modification that effects the nozzle position you do have to redo the live z values for each sheet though.
